The City seeks proposals from experienced event production and management contractors. The contract will require the selected Contractor to attend planning meetings with the Independence Day Executive Board and City staff, as needed. Contractor shall assume responsibility, in conjunction with the City and the Independence Day Executive Board for all planning, sponsorship procurement, music and entertainment procurement, sub-contractor management, and volunteer development; In addition, Contractor shall be responsible for pre-, day-of, and post-event public / media relations, pre-, day-of, and post-event production and management, and all other facets of event production and management. Of note, deliverables must communicate the City’s message of “family-friendly” events and activities. The City’s objective is to provide residents, visitors, and event participants with an inclusive and safe environment where they may enjoy the wide array of festivities in our beautiful beach community.
