Since 1994, California/Nevada Festivals & Events Association has recognized excellence in events through its Celebration Awards.

Budget Classifications

Events of all sizes are encouraged to submit entries. One award will be presented in each budget classification for each category. Budget is total of all operating, staffing and marketing expenses for your organization.  You will be judged against events with the same budget constraints as your organization. Judges will evaluate each entry’s substance, originality, style, concept, copy, graphics and production of the idea and results.

Award Categories - Digital Submissions

  • PROMOTIONAL PIECE - Submit one digital file of brochure, flyer or rack card. Size appropriate.

  • PROGRAM OR SCHEDULE OF EVENTS - (Printed or Digital) Submit one digital file of program/schedule. (pdf).

  • PROMOTIONAL POSTER (Not for sale) - Submit one digital file of poster.

  • COMMEMORATIVE POSTER (For sale) - Submit one digital file of poster.

  • BEST NEW EVENT WITHIN AN EVENT - Submit description, include mission statement, samples of collateral, promotion souvenirs, program, photos, local media coverage, goals & objectives, results of event. PDF preferred.

  • MEDIA/PRESS KIT - (Digital or Print Marketing) Submit one media/press kit. Describe targeted media, method of distribution, measurable results as in percentage of media coverage and impressions. PDF preferred.

  • EVENT PHOTO - Can be black & white or color.  In submitting, you grant CalFest the right to use for promotional purposes in newsletter.

  • BROADCAST ADVERTISING or PSA/TV or Radio - Submit video/audio file and provide written copy in word document.

  • PRINT ADVERTISEMENT/Newspaper or Magazine - Provide one entry per event.

Award Categories - Mail-In Submissions

Pay for award entry online and include receipt copy, fill out award entry form below and include item, receipt of payment from this site and entry form.

  • WEARABLE SOUVENIR - Submit one item. (No t-shirts)

  • T-SHIRT - Submit one T-shirt. (no collared shirts)

  • PROMOTIONAL OR SOUVENIR ITEM - Souvenirs, buttons, mugs, wine glasses, water bottles, pins, aprons & recognition gifts are examples of promotional items. Submit one per entry, unmounted.
