CalFest Announces Regional Training Format for 2026

CalFest, California’s leading festival and event association, announced today that it will host a series of regional training sessions in 2026 rather than a single statewide convention.

The new format is designed to bring trainings closer to members, reduce travel costs, and increase access for event professionals across California. By offering multiple regional opportunities, CalFest aims to strengthen local connections while still delivering the high-quality education and resources members expect.

“Hosting regional trainings allows us to meet our members where they are,” said Erica Driscoll, CalFest Board President. “We’re committed to making professional development more affordable and accessible, while continuing to support the incredible work being done in communities throughout the state.”

Dates and locations for the regional trainings will be announced soon.

CalFest helps event professionals by providing training, networking, and educational resources to enhance their skills. Our members include major festivals, non-profits, Chambers of Commerce, and various tourism and government organizations. CalFest also includes businesses and individuals offering goods and services for events, like entertainment, insurance, equipment rentals, and marketing.
